Rainy Day Baking

Since I’m about to share what we baked today, I feel it's important to add the disclaimer that I once started a microwave on fire trying to make popcorn. I do think I’ve come a long way with my cooking/baking skills, but wanted to throw that little tidbit out there so ya’ll know I’m not an expert.
If you live near a Trader Joe’s I highly recommend making a trip if you are wanting organic sugar, brown sugar, and even powdered sugar. I also love their organic bourbon vanilla. They also have dye free seasonal sprinkles and m&ms. I try to do as much organic as I can and then always do dye free with very few exceptions. I do not bake often but my oldest spotted some Trader Joe’s m&ms in a drawer that we had and asked to make cookies and it was a perfect way to pass the time during a rainy day.
We used https://www.spendwithpennies.com/easy-mm-cookies/ recipe to make them. Side note: if you're like me and had no idea what in the hell, cream butter meant in the first step. It’s simple, using softened butter(not melted)and mixing it with the necessary sugar until fluffy.
